SEATTLE, WA
lake washington residence
During the 1930's and beyond, the historic Palmer Estate on the shores of Lake Washington had one of the most renowned gardens in the Puget Sound area. By the early 2000's the garden was in a dilapidated and overgrown state, with evidence of the elegant ponds, pathways, and pergolas lying under a thick layer of overgrowth. The project involved both historic restoration and the development of new garden areas that would blend thoughtfully with the estate's more historic components.
